How to care Your Denture?

There are two types of dentures: they replace all the teeth (upper or lower full denture or both). And they replace some missing parts and fixing in adjacent natural teeth (partial denture or "Bridge").

A complete Denture repairs exerts a force above the gum tissue and corresponding parts of the bone. This pressure may be irritated painful mouth ulcers and eventually degeneration of gum tissue and bone resorption of the mandible.

A complete denture is tight though, and partial dentures may have receding gums and jaws, this shrinkage leads finally to close the jaws more than Normal for chewing.

In the latter although the bridge and adjacent natural teeth often trapped food debris that cause cavities, gum inflammation, swelling, small hemorrhages.

You should try to go to the dentist twice a year. Some problems can be prevented by regular dental examinations made and, if required, with the realignment of dentures. If you have pain, Mouth ulcers or bleeding, Go as soon as possible.
